Auto-Storm® AQUA distinguishes itself from other conventional outdoor car covers by a unique “double-cover” construction, similar to that of a fly-sheet of a tent. Auto-Storm® AQUA comprises of a 4-layer main cover and a 1-layer top cover. The Auto-Storm® AQUA-Top-Cover is "sacrificial", interchangeable and inexpensive. The AQUA-Top-Cover is an important factor in order to achieve reliable and constant weather protection, especially during heavy rain. This is achieved by the way the AQUA-Top-Cover “filters” and “converts” heavy rain in to a fine light spray, supporting the main cover underneath in keeping the car dry. The AQUA-Top-Cover furthermore shelters and protects the main cover underneath from dirt, tree-sap, bird-droppings, and environmental influences as well as damaging effects of UV-radiation. The longevity of the 1-layer top cover depends on the intensity and duration of UV exposure, whereby a service life of 1-3 years is quite conceivable. The top-cover is replaceable and inexpensive. Auto-Storm® AQUA is not a garage and for this reason should not be exposed to excessive solar radiation.
